Why Candidates Choose Challenge

The Advantages

  • ✓ Skip the requirement to find an employer sponsor for apprenticeship.
  • ✓ Gain full interprovincial mobility to work anywhere in Canada.
  • ✓ Access high-paying government and union jobs that require certification.
  • ✓ Formalize years of domestic or international experience into a credential.
Eligibility & Prerequisites

The “1.5x Hours” Rule

Most trades require you to prove work hours totaling 1.5 times the length of a standard apprenticeship. For a 4-year trade, this typically means 9,000 to 12,000 hours of verifiable work, plus a demonstrated “Scope of Practice”.
